Luis Valentin Ferrada Walker

Luis Valentín Ferrada Walker is a Lawyer, Doctor of Law from the University of Chile. Professor of the Department of International Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile, he is researcher attached to the Institute of Ecology and Biodiversity (IEB). General Editor of the International Tribune Magazine, he is a member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Council (Ministry of Foreign Relations). Member of the Chilean Society of International Law, of the Latin American Society of International Law (SLADI) and of the Permanent Committee on Humanities and Social Sciences of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR), he is on the list of arbitrators of the Permanent Court of International Arbitration (The Hague) in matters of Antarctic environmental protection. He has been a visiting researcher at the Yale Law School, a visiting professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid and a post-doctoral researcher at the Complutense University of Madrid. He is the main writer of the Chilean Antarctic Law (Law 21.255-2020) and Author of multiple publications and lectures on legal and historical matters.
